Presented for the first time at the 1950 Paris car salon the Touring 340 America Barchetta chassis N° 0114 A with its seductive black body and green leather interior stole the show.With its right hand drive the car was designed for racing and took part in the 1951 Mille Miglia sporting the number 340 and driven by Otto Wild.Taken by Ferrari to the 24 hr Le Mans race of the same year as a back up car it was not needed and official retired to civil life in Switzerland at the hands of Otto Wild until 1985.The car is powered by a 220 bhp V12 4.1 litre engine with a top speed of 149mph / 240km/h.In total 22 Ferrari 340 Americas were built of which only  5 have the windscreen made from two parts and chassis N° 0114 A  belongs to this elite club.
